Wellington is a great city because there is always something going on, even for its relatively small size. Saturday evenings offer the Night Market on its renowned Cuba where food trucks park up for the evening. Sunday’s offer great markets on the waterfront. On those really windy days, Wellington’s national museum, TePapa, is a great place to explore and always has exhibitions going on. There’s also a wonderful art gallery to visit, and in general just lots of cool shops to check out in the city. If you’re keen to get outside of the city, going for a drive around The Bays is great too, and you may even spot a pod of dolphins, or orcas or even a penguin!

What do you do for work?

I work in advertising, which was relatively easy to find work in when I first came over on a working holiday visa.
